Makakilo's Got Talent

Here are two of my drummer friends, showcasing their other talents.

Bonnie is currently expanding her ministry in Nicaragua by helping with the Nicaraguan sign language congregation. She's performing the song Stand By Me in Nicaraguan sign language.

Here's Anna-licious! She can drum on anything. Anywhere. Anytime.

Wedding vids: Performances

Thanks to Anna for posting these on her YouTube Channel! And a big, big, big thank you to Anna, Radford, Kelly, Bonnie, and Mia for lending your talents to our wedding day :)

Anna & Radford: Make You Feel My Love (our first dance as husband & wife), by Adele

Anna & Radford: Honey Bee by Zee Avi

Anna & Radford: My Sweetheart (lyrics by Gee... originally Bitter Heart by Zee Avi)

The sun goes down, And loneliness abounds

I feeling incomplete, Because you’re not around

I wait for you, I want the time to rush

I’ve waited fourteen days, That’s fourteen days too much

When we’re apart, Time goes so slow, slow, slow

But you are worth the wait, Because I love you so!

My sweetheart, My sweetheart, You’re so far across the sea

My sweetheart, My sweetheart, I’m just counting down the days

And then you’re here, And time goes way too fast

I want to keep you near, And make each moment last

(KAZOO!)

Wedding vids: Speeches by Bonnie, Kelly, & Char

The first poem/speech is delivered by Kelly and performed by Bonnie. It pretty much sums up... in a kinda-sorta-accurate way how Jeff and I met. Kinda... Sorta... Hehehe... Following that is Char's touching speech... It was so sweet! Until she described my height as "hobbit-like." Thank you girls for your support and entertaining words- you made our wedding day extra-special!

Background info to understand the first speech:

About a month after first meeting on Kauai, Jeff wanted to buy a camera on Oahu that was advertised on Craigslist. He flew to Oahu on a Sunday and stayed overnight. Since he did not have plans for Monday, Gee arranged for him to go hiking with Kelly and her friends. The hiking plans were cancelled and Jeff ended up spending that Monday with Gee at the school where she worked. Unbeknownst to Gee and Jeff, around the same time, Gee’s parents were praying that their lactose-intolerant daughter meet a nice gentleman to marry.

In case you wanna learn the lyrics and motions:

Jeff and Gee, Gee and Jeff

From two separate islands, and yet they both met

“A husband for my daughter,” prayed her papa and mama

Jeff flew to Oahu for a digital camera.

On a Monday, hiking he could not do.

So he had to follow Gee around her school.

“This is the one,” he thought to himself, “I want to marry,

even though she does not eat things made of dairy.”

Family and friends, we are here on their wedding day

About to eat the wedding cake

We all love you Jeff and Gee Pescador

May Jehovah bless your marriage with blessings galore

And some say, if it weren’t for this camera, this day would have been missed.

But I think Jeff himself put that camera on Craigslist!

Cake!

In celebration of our first anniversary, my bro surprised us with a special cake made by our friend, Malina. It was fancy-schmancy- I loved the colors! The blue and choco brown totally matched our living room decor. We wished we could have keep it as a permanent display in our house... but, hunger trumped art, and after many pictures, we finally started to gobble it up. The cake was yummy as it looked!
From the bottom of our hearts and tummies:
Thank you Rich!
Thank you Malina!

Empire State

Who's our favorite NY couple? Serg & Dani, of course!
It used to be Mark & Jackie, but now they are our favorite couple-in-Micronesia.
Anyway... Jeff did a photoshoot of this GQ couple in town to capture the city lights.
Muy caliente, si?

Julie in the Big City (well, bigger than Kapaa)

Julie (Jeff's sis) visited last week from Kauai. We went to Shokudo,
along with Michi for some ono pupus, sushi, and dessert!
